The Chilin Education Foundation founded by Mr. Lin I-hsiung and Ms. Fang Su-min in Wujie Township, Yilan County aims to cultivate Taiwanese culture and democratic education. Besides a variety of forums, student camps, and concerts, Chilin built the Taiwan Social Movement Archives Center, the Taiwan Democratic Movement Museum, the Chilin Art Museum, the Chilin Calligraphy Gallery; and the Chilin Memorial House for the general public to visit free of charge.

Thanks to the involvement, support, and sponsor of friends and volunteers over years. It is because of your unreserved contributions that we would be able to promote all these works.。

To make promotions of cultural and educational works at Chilin more successful, we invite the general public to visit Chilin and have a wonderful experience. We welcome everyone to visit on Saturday free of charge. Additionally, from Tuesday to Saturday, groups of over 20 people are welcome to book a tour for art special exhibitions, the Taiwan Democracy Movement Museum, etc. free of charge. The Chilin Art Museum and the Chilin Calligraphy Gallery in the Chilin Art Building are also open for the public.

To promote all these cultural and educational works, we look for more volunteers and friends to join us. As long as you are interested and passionate, regardless of your age, gender, or academic experience, you are always welcome to contact Chilin and become one of the Chilin volunteers!

Chilin is a place where we mutually learn how to practice appreciation and compassion. Here, we complete sophisticated tasks, decorate the education center, and hold cultural and educational events beneficial to society with our love and patience. We also learn to understand and care for one another as we friendly treat our visitors. We hope that, by doing this, the goodness in us will emerge and strengthen our ability to practice appreaciation and compassion. Moreover, with our hardwork as a team, we hope that Chilin can demonstrate its values to the Taiwanese people, refresh and foster their souls.

Although what we do seems trivial and insignificant, and the expected results might take a long time to achieve, history has taught us: Among the accomplishments that humans have reached in the past, a number of them came from the unknown who slowly and steadily accumulated their skills and contributions. Therefore, we are deeply convinced that everything that we do is equally important, however big or small it is.

Let us hold on to this belief and work step by step toward these goals, and be mindful of the idea of "doing the small things with great heart."

We strongly believe that your involvement with Chilin will make Chilin a livelier place that nourishes its aspirations. Most importantly, we hope that your experience as a Chilin volunteer can enrich and bring significance to your life.
